New to investing? Start here.
No cockpit, no jargon wall. This page explains what InvestMuse does in plain language, walks you through reading one stock, and gives you a short glossary and a first-week plan. Take it slowly — there is no wrong pace.
What InvestMuse is, in one paragraph
Every night, after markets close, InvestMuse looks at 1,237 stocks, coins, currencies and commodities and scores each one across nine different angles — things like its price trend, its momentum, how its business fundamentals look, and what the news mood is. It then boils all of that into one plain read you can glance at in a few seconds. It is a lens for looking, not a person telling you what to buy. It shows you patterns in the data; every decision stays yours.
Let's read one stock together
Say you open Apple (AAPL). Here is what the main pieces on the screen actually mean — the same anatomy applies to any asset you look up.
The composite score
A number from -100 to +100
How the nine angles line up right now. Positive leans bullish, negative leans bearish, near zero is mixed. Read it as a view, not advice — it never says “buy”, it says “here is what the data currently looks like.”
The regime read
Hot / Calm / Cool
Which “weather” the stock is in — Hot (a more active pattern), Calm, or Cool (a lower pattern) — worked out by a model that spots patterns in how the price has been behaving. A regime is a description of the current state, not a prediction of tomorrow.
Key levels
Prices that mattered before
Where buyers or sellers stepped in historically (support and resistance). They are reference points on the chart, useful context — not instructions to act.
“Daily Picks”
A ranking, not a tip sheet
The subtitle says it plainly: screener confluence ranking — not investment recommendations. It is the list of names where the nine angles agree most strongly today, sorted by score. A starting point for your own homework.
A tiny glossary
- Composite score
- InvestMuse's one-glance number (-100 to +100) that blends the nine angles into a single read.
- Regime
- The market “state” a stock is in — Hot, Calm or Cool — inferred from how its price has behaved by a Hidden Markov Model. A description, not a forecast.
- RSI
- A 0–100 gauge of whether a stock has run up or down fast lately. High can mean “stretched”, low can mean “beaten down” — context, not a signal on its own.
- Drawdown
- How far something has fallen from its recent peak. A “maximum drawdown” is the worst such drop — the pain you would have sat through.
- Support & resistance
- Price levels where buyers (support) or sellers (resistance) have shown up before. Reference points, not walls.
- Screener
- A filter that scans the whole universe and surfaces the names matching some criteria — here, where the nine angles agree.
- EOD (end-of-day)
- Everything updates once a day, after the market closes. InvestMuse is built for holding days-to-months, not minute-by-minute trading.
Your first week as a founding member
Every feature, no card, free until 1 January 2027. A gentle way to spend the first week:
- Look up a company you already know and use every day. Read its composite score and regime, and notice whether they match your gut.
- Open the Daily Picks list. Don't act on it — just see which names the nine angles agree on today.
- Check the coverage page and search a few tickers you care about, to see what's in.
- Read one Research piece to see how the methodology is explained in the open.
- Sign up for the nightly newsletter so the market read comes to you — observations, not recommendations.
- Take your time deciding whether it fits how you think — founding access runs until 1 January 2027 and nothing is ever charged without you choosing it.
The honest boundaries
It is not advice. InvestMuse surfaces patterns and data. It never tells you to buy or sell, and it is not a licensed financial adviser.
It is not for minute-by-minute trading. Everything is end-of-day by design. If you want intraday scalping, this isn't your tool.
The decisions are yours. Use it as one input among several. Past patterns do not guarantee future results, and only you know your own situation.
